Churn Your Own Butter


  • Small Plastic Tub
  • Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 2-3 Clean Marbles
  • Paper Towel
  • Salt (Optional)


1. Fill plastic tub half full with whipping cream.

2. Place marbles inside tub. Seal the tub, and then shake vigorously for about 15 minutes. The cream will separate into butter lumps and buttermilk.

3. Pour off the liquid.

4. Wrap the butter in a paper towel and squeeze out and remaining liquid. Return to tub and add salt, if desired. Serve.
